Who Am I?

My name is Keir and I am an industrial designer. My background is in information technology but I've recently completed a Bachelor of Design at the University of Canberra after deciding to change careers and follow my creative instincts.

My Interests

I'm focussed on designing and creating products that are exciting, beautiful, and clever. Recurring themes in my designs are sculpture, discreet technology, longevity, repairability, and sustainability.

I also completed a major in interaction design (I coded this website) and really enjoy visual communication too.

The areas of design that interest me the most at the moment are domestic lighting, automotive/mobility, and consumer technology.

Being involved with the product design process from concept ideation all the way through to manufacturing is an extraordinary experience and probably my favourite aspect of the field. Regarding the design process itself, of particular interest to me are 3D digital design and additive manufacturing.
